Dr. John Packham and his team from the Nevada Health Workforce Research Center in the Office of Statewide Initiatives, UNR School of Medicine, have prepared a whitepaper addressing Nevada's nursing staffing issues. Entitled "Addressing Nevada's Nursing Workforce Shortages: A Call to Action", this document is based on the collaboration of nurses across Nevada, including members of the NNA Legislative Committee. We encourage you to read this document for information about current and expected future shortages of nurses in Nevada, as well as its call for the Nevada State Legislature to take specific measures to address these issues.
A PDF version of this whitepaper is available here. A summary article of this whitepaper will also appear in the December, 2022, issue of RNformation.
