Nurse Health Line Manager

This position manages the Nurse Health Line and the nurses and call takers hired to work there.  The Nurse Health Line is co-located with the REMSA/RASI 911 Communications Center and operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  The goal of the program is to improve access to appropriate levels of quality care and treatment and reduce total patient cost for non-emergent callers to the 911 system and to the Nurse Health Line. This position requires strong leadership qualities to manage daily operations of the Nurse Health Line, the ability to make critical decisions based upon objective findings; ability to handle customer and employee complaints using established guidelines and common sense; excellent written and verbal skills; ability to adapt to a variety of working conditions and situations; intimate knowledge of company policy and procedure; and the ability to work as an RN on the NHL.


Registered Nursing License in Nevada required. CA RN withing 3 months. At least 5 years' experience as an RN in an ER or acute care setting or 2 years of experience providing nursing care/instructions in a telephonic setting, or any combination thereof. At least 4 years of direct experience managing a team of employees. A track record of excellent interpersonal and communications skills is paramount. Knowledge of computer skills on various programs (Microsoft Office).
